| 2008 USAW-NJ Road Trip
/ Spring / Summer Schedule |
USAW-NJ
has come up with a Road Trip Summary for 2008. Team and
Individual opportunities are available in Scholastic, Freestyle and
Greco-Roman styles every year. As usual, this year's schedule includes
regional and national competition that USAW-NJ intends to compete in as a
team while allowing individual competition as well. Our Road Trips began
with January's Mason-Dixon (Schoolboy Scholastic) competition and culminate
with the ASICS TIGER National Championships
(Cadet and Junior Freestyle and Greco-Roman) in late July.
| 2008 International Wrestling/Officiating Program (Spring 2008)
Greco-Roman and Freestyle referees and pairing officials are needed in New Jersey. Anyone interested in becoming a USAW official, please contact Mr. Patrick Pollard. He has volunteered to help build the official pool in New Jersey.

| 2008 Team New Jersey, Mason-Dixon Quadrangular |
USA Wrestling NJ once again sent a team to the Mason-Dixon Quad at the
McDonogh School in
Owings Mills, MD. The meet was held on Saturday, January 5, 2008; Team NJ
finished second to PA.

2008 Insurance Information One of the many benefits areas of USA Wrestling Membership includes secondary, non-duplicating sports accident insurance provided by an outside carrier. There is sports accident supplemental benefits provided to members who participate in limited non-sanctioned events, including a deductible, co-payment provisions and other conditions of the policy.

Thursday, April 24, 2008 at Eastern Regional High School, 1401
Laurel Oak Road, Voorhees, New Jersey 08043. Go to Gymnasium #2 / Attendance
Office entrance, and then proceed to Room 819. Registration will take place
from 5:30 PM until 5:55 PM. Class starts at 6:00 PM sharp. Costs: $50.00 for
workshop & test, $35.00 for USA coaches card.

| USA Wrestling, in conjunction with Championship Access, has created the Official USA Wrestling Coaches Syllabus, 3rd edition. This exciting new product features 8 interactive DVD's with 148 Freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling skills and drills. The syllabus gives detailed instruction in all facets of wrestling from 3 camera angles that include audio, video, and text. Each move is available in slow motion, real time or frame by frame mode .
