The 2002 edition of the prestigious Mason-Dixon Quad was held on Saturday, January 5, 2002 at the beautiful McDonogh School in Owings Mills, MD. Maryland Coach Pete Welch hosted the event, which was sanctioned by the Maryland State Wrestling Association and USA Wrestling. The director was Mike Clemens, and, once again, the participating teams were:

Team New Jersey 2002 placed second, just 6 points behind a very good Pennsylvania team. New Jersey featured a well balanced team with 7 undefeated wrestlers, and, as a team, were victorious against Maryland and Virginia teams at the Mason-Dixon Quad. Many thanks to coaches Pete DiBiase and Dan LaMonte and to Pat Fox for getting the team shirts. Jersey wrestlers, keep looking for the best competition in order to grow. Six wrestlers on this team are eligible to trial for this team again.
